Camp Jaycee Scholarship Guidelines
Camp Jaycee feels that summer camp is a wonderful adventure for everyone. We believe we have a world-class program, facilities and staff, and we want to make the experience available to as many people as we can.
While we strive to keep our fees affordable, we recognize that there are those who cannot afford to attend. Because we want to make camp as inclusive as possible, we offer limited scholarship help.
These scholarships, which will cover part of the fees, are based on the economic need of the camper and his or her family, as well as our availability of funds. Because these funds are limited, we ask that you explore other sources of financing first.
If you would like to apply for a partial scholarship, please call The Arc of New Jersey at 732-246-2525, ext. 44 for an application.
The following is required:
- Completed and signed application
- Photocopies of pages of tax documents listing the camper as a dependent and gross and taxable income.
- Letter outlining the reasons for the request and anything you would like the committee to know.
It must be completed and returned by March 1st.
Applications will be reviewed by a committee of the Camp Jaycee Board of Directors, whose decision is final. Applicants will be notified by May 1st and will have until June 15 to pay the balance.
Applications and supporting materials will be held in the strictest confidence.
If the camp fee is approved for funding by another funding source after the decision is made by Camp Jaycee the partial scholarship will not be awarded.
